Zemedelská Společnost, located between Mělník and Mladá Boleslav in the Czech Republic, cultivates approximately 900 hectares of cereals and root crops, including wheat, rapeseed, sugar beet and barley, on challenging, hilly terrain. With their previous sprayer nearing the end of its lifecycle, the seven-member team consulted their experienced agronomist and mechanical engineer to determine the best upgrade.

Welcome to Frank de Schutter’s arable farm in the northern part of the Netherlands. Established in 1970 when his grandfather relocated to the region, the farm has since evolved into a thriving business. Frank, born and raised on the farm, took over the reins a few years ago. Today, the operation spans 250 hectares, focusing primarily on seed potatoes, sugar beets, grain and fiber hemp. In collaboration with a neighboring farmer, they also grow onions.

Together, they represent the third generation of farmers in the area, growing a variety of rain-fed crops. The team also includes three full-time employees, with clearly defined roles: Tim’s brother specializes in seeding, Tim manages all the spraying and during harvest, he teams up with his father to get the job done.
