Becken Agrar GmbH
We significantly increase our hectare output per day!
Markus Tietjen, a driving force behind the family-run Becken Agrar GmbH, is transforming modern agriculture on their extensive farm in Loxstedt, Northern Germany. Located in a dairy-rich region where large-scale farming exceeds the capacity of individual operators, Markus is on a mission to raise the bar in agricultural contracting.
Their contracting division manages 7.500 to 8.000 hectares annually, including 1.000 hectares dedicated to liquid fertilizer application. But their standout crop is corn, cultivated on around 2.000 hectares per year, treated with precision and care using a technique known as splitting.
Future-proof innovations
With the StrictSprayPlus system, Agrifac’s in-house PWM system, and 25 cm nozzle spacing, Markus and his team apply every drop exactly where it’s needed with their Agrifac Condor. By maintaining the ideal boom-to-crop distance, they reduce wind drift and ensure consistent application. Individual nozzle control eliminates overlap, cutting inputs by an impressive 5% to 7% per hectare, lowering costs while advancing environmental stewardship.
Limitless power
Their Agrifac sprayer also reduce diesel consumption by 30% to 35% compared to other brands, thanks to their highly efficient engines. With speeds of up to 50 kph and fast, intuitive boom-folding mechanisms, productivity has soared. “We can fold and unfold in rapid time and easily clean the machine between different crops. This significantly increases our hectare output per day, making it the ideal machine for contracting work.” says Markus.
The operator behind the wheel
Meet Jark Eberhardt, the skilled operator behind Becken Agrar’s Agrifac Condor 5. Jark is the embodiment of precision and performance, delivering speed and efficiency while keeping fuel consumption impressively low. But it’s not just about speed, it’s about comfort, too. Thanks to the Condor’s ingenious air suspension technology, Jark glides effortlessly across rough terrain, turning long and demanding days into smooth, comfortable shifts in the field.
A new era of precision farming
Julius Becken, a forward-thinking force in his family’s agricultural legacy, is reshaping the future of farming. With roots stretching back to the 1600s, the Becken name is steeped in tradition, but Julius is focused on progress. Since 2014, his contracting business near Rostock has relied on Agrifac’s state-of-the-art sprayers, standing as a true testament to precision, quality and innovation.
Looking ahead, Julius and his team are excited about the future of agriculture, especially the potential of individual plant recognition and next-level precision farming. At Becken Agrar, quality isn’t just a goal, it’s a mindset, guiding every decision and driving their commitment to a smarter, more sustainable future.
